Ma entered École internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq in France in 1999, where she explored major dramatic territories, such as melodrama, tragedy, Commedia dell’arte, clowning and burlesque. During this time she also trained as a director and producer for theatre. She has been a lecturer at Taipei National University of the Arts and National Taiwan University of Arts and runs theatre workshops for many different organizations.
She is also a certified professional hospital clown with a diploma issued by French government. She founded Taiwan’s first professional hospital clown association, in 2016.
